About Dallas,

Dallas Wright writes the words our hearts need to hear. Born in Minneapolis, yet it’s within his life’s journey in which he resides. He was raised on both sides of the coin, preparing his adolescent mind to endure incarceration weeks after the 9th grade. Dallas begun seeking an outlet while accepting the possibility of permanent residency behind cured concrete. Poetry was his floatation device.

Almost a decade later, he first saw his love for wordplay as a potential avenue for breaking generational curses. “It’s the Unspoken Conversations in our childhood, our upbringing, which tends to wade in the shadows of us all.” Over ten years of additions, excessive self-judgement, edits, and anxiety from the sheer idea of a better life, gave us this poet’s first collection, Unspoken Conversations.
