My Background

I always knew I had a love for writing, but never considered poetry until it became my voice. Not until facing life without the possibility of parole, was my spiritual gift introduced to my 9th grade level of understanding. How could I maintain my sanity behind cured concrete? The ability to adequately express myself, and in art form, and in less words, made poetry my life preserver.

I’ve found myself out of state, along some lonely road, questioning life. Searching the life form known as self, open-minded, yet aware of my shortcomings.

you’ll get that tingle, like a whisper crawling up the neck of your imagination, almost like the spirit of a loved one visiting at the right time, and you’ll know, “this is where I’m supposed to be.”

I used to write to escape reality, to disappear while surrounded by confinement. Now I write to set others free. Free from same/similar traumas, emotional disconnection, and free those enslaved in an economical bondage. My books were once written in a bunk within a correctional facility. Now I share my art, my gift, with the world.
